Barry`s Steaks in Philadelphia

Been grabbing chicken cheesesteaks from this Roxborough secret for 10 + years. Great people, great steaks, great soda pop and you gotta get the fries.

Very clean and welcoming spot. They serve generous meals and for fair rates. I enjoyed the menu very much and the staff were super personal and chatty. Highly recommended.

While waiting to go to Dellassandro's steaks with it's long lines and no seating available... This awesome place for steaks was suggested to me by a lifetime resident of philly who told me how Barry use to work with Dellassandro's ... it was just a random encounter in the street that sparked a 45 minute conversation... Good food... Great people..."FatBoy" Approved... gotta love "Philly" .... oh and I never made it to Dellassandro's maybe another time.

Best cheesesteak that I've had in years

By far the best cheese steaks in the world. I grew up in Philly but now live in NC these 25+ years. Still must come get my fix twice a year. They are that good. My fav... cheese steak sauce and onions. Very friendly team too. They helped my with a bag of "cook them at home" steaks so I could drive back to Durham, NC and put them together myself. Great folks!

Great food and service! We ordered pickup from Grub hub. The order was ready about 10 min later and was still hot after the short walk home! Great job everyone. 5 stars!

First review I’v ever written for the best steak I’v ever had! Lived in the area most my life and never tried it. If you don’t know what to order - steak with American and Provolone, onions, long hots - best of both worlds Italian sandwich meats traditional steak

I like to call this place "I Didn't Want To Wait In Line At Dalessandro's Steaks." I'm not sure where they source their meat but it's bland and weird tasting. Bread is good, soft, not chewy, exactly how it needs to be. Always double check your order because they always seem to leave something out now matter how slow or articulate you place your order. It's a good place if you just want to fill your stomach quick and don't have functioning tastebuds.

You could stand in a crazy long line at Delesandro's or you go to Barry's and get great a steak everytime from locally owned place.

I never write reviews but felt the need to highly recommend Barry’s. The service is immaculate and delivery is so fast. Also highly appreciate the delivery driver being so polite and nice every time he delivers. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Ordered from this place via GrubHub a lot for me and my wife when we were tired. Friendly service and usually very quick delivery. Food is always really good too. Burgers and steaks are far better than the options on Henry Ave. With interesting options and their own sodas it's a place that can't be beat.

I like this restaurant very much. theres a unique atmosphere. The food is exeptionaly good. the service is effective and the waiters are professional. The price is honest. I definitely recommend.

Very good cheesesteak, parking, bathroom and plenty of room to sit. I like Barry's!! Roxborough could very much be the epicenter of the Cheesesteak world. Excellent cheesesteaks with a wide variety of toppings offered counterside. The menu was also expansive. In addition, the easy parking, clean establishment and friendly staff make this place very easy to recommend!

Barry's has been one of my favorites

No doubt, the cheesesteak are always good, and I love the seat yourself style, but tonight the food and service wasn't spectacular. I remember the hot wings used to be big, fresh wings and now they're these little, obviously frozen things. When we finished our meal, we waited a good 10 minutes for anyone to notice I had all my money out, ready to pay, and because one of their regulars was in, they all payed attention to them and talking to them for the full 10. Next time I'll just stick to steaks and have it delivered if you can't be consistent with the rest of your menu.

I called for delivery and was informed that they do not deliver to East Falls - there are many more better places in Manayunk and Roxborough to have a pizza steak delivered

Went there to check it out for the first time. Cash only. Decent location with a free parking lot nearby. One thing that was challenging was the cook made the sandwich with no gloves. I know it's a local spot, but still. Keep it sanitary. The sandwich was decent.

I was very disappointed with their service. They overcharged my meal and refused to give me a real actual receipt. They were very deceptive and conning. I would recommend not ever ordering from this place because they are out right thieves.

This is the best cheesesteak that Philadelphia has to offer, when Barry is behind the grill. If Barry isn’t cooking your cheesesteak it’s going to be average. But god damn, if he is... every bite is a flavor explosion. Not sure what he does different then his employees, but it makes all the difference.

I drive over an hour for cheese steaks from Barry's. Worth it every time! Don't forget to try one of their craft sodas, they are all amazing!!

Always the best steak around. My family’s go to for many years. I just left my wallet there and they went out of their way to get it to me. Looks like I’m having another steak sandwich for brunch. Thanks Barry’s.
